Beginner and Intermediate Players
Medium Soft
These reeds are for beginners who are just learning to play or are learning oboe as a second instrument. They are very easy to play but will not provide the mature tone like the intermediate or professional reeds.
I’ve been playing for a few months
I’m an adult but I haven’t played this millennium
I play an instrument, but I’ve never played the oboe
Medium
*most popular
This is our most popular reed because these reeds will play "broken in" after very little use. They are easy to play but still provide a mature sound. These reeds are best for students who have been playing for 6 months to 4 years. **The medium reeds are completely finished and will not have much room for alterations.
Ive been playing for more than a year
I’m in middle school or high school
I’m an adult but I play for fun
These reeds are less responsive than the Intermediate Medium Reeds. They have darker tone and have more room for you to tailor your reed to your playing style. They have a thicker tip and will take more time to break them in. These reeds are for advanced middle school students or freshmen or sophomores in High school.
Medium Hard
I enjoy my life being harder for no reason
I have tried the mediums and they are too easy
I like to adjust my reeds myself
Advanced and Professional Players
This reed is my favorite to play on because it will still play “broken in”. The professional reeds have a nicer staple that allow the reed to sing beautifully. These reeds are for any advanced middle school student to professional player. **The medium reeds are completely finished and will not have much room for alterations.
Medium Professional
tl:dr
I am an advanced player
I have been playing for a few years and want to improve my tone
This reeds has a darker tone and has more room for you to tailor your reed to your playing style. They have a thicker tip and will take more time to break them in. The professional reeds have a nicer staple that allow the reed to sing beautifully. These reeds are for any advanced middle school student to professional player.
Medium Hard Professional
I don’t ever want something to be too easy in life
I don’t appreciate the judgment. You can’t tell me what to do and I want the Medium Hard.
These reeds would be great for an oboist who feels that a Medium/Hard reed just isn't hard enough! They will have lots of room for adjustment and will be less responsive than the Medium/Hard reeds. The professional reeds have a nicer staple that really open the reeds up and sing beautifully. Buyer beware...these are hard!
Hard Professional
I love sucking on planks of wood.
seriously jenny. let us do what we want.

“These are the best reeds I have ever used before. I have been playing for 4 years and these have been the best quality reeds I have played.”

“I purchased these for my niece who has played for 2 years now and is going into 9th grade. She thought her instrument needed adjustments, but when the reeds arrived she immediately played a chromatic scale from low to high. Her tone quality has never sounded better. Thank you.”
